This opens a real ticket on the support desk and gives you a reference to quote. If you have an account, write from inside the app instead: the reply lands in the product and we already know who you are.
Prayer
Does it work without a signal?
Yes. Prayer times are computed on the device from astronomy, and the Qibla needs only your position and the compass, so both are correct on a plane, in a basement or abroad with data off.
Can I see why a time is what it is?
Every prayer opens a sheet that states the method, the angle, the school, your coordinates, your elevation and the rule used if the angle could not be reached.
Does it follow my local mosque's timetable?
No, and it says so. Ya Habibi calculates rather than copying a published timetable, so where your mosque rounds or fixes a time, the two can differ by a few minutes.
Why does the Qibla needle wobble?
That is the phone's magnetometer, not the app. Move away from laptops, speakers and steel, and if the app shows a calibration prompt, follow it.
Halal food
Does Ya Habibi certify anything?
No. The app records what a business states and marks whether a certificate has been seen by a person at Ya Habibi. The certification itself is the certifier's.
How do I add my restaurant?
Create a food spot account in the app. The listing, the address, the certificate and the photographs are all yours to manage.
Ummah
Which languages can it translate from?
Any of the hundred and ninety-five languages the translation engine detects. The button appears on anything not already in the language your phone is set to.
Is it moderated?
Yes, by people, with reporting on every post and reply, and account-level blocks that apply across the whole app.
Can anyone message me?
No. The opposite-gender setting is off by default, blocks apply everywhere, and reporting is on every conversation.
Are messages translated automatically?
Never automatically. A message is translated when you press Translate, and only then.
Study
Is there a Quran translation?
Published translations are being licensed per language rather than generated. Where a licensed translation is not yet available for your language, the app shows the Arabic rather than a machine rendering of it.
Does the audio use my data?
Recitation streams when you press play. Nothing downloads in the background without you asking.
Who wrote the lessons?
They are compiled from named classical and contemporary sources, each cited in the lesson. Where a question is genuinely unsettled between schools, the lesson says so.
Is this a substitute for a teacher?
No. It is a reference for what the schools hold and where to read further.
Profile
What do I sign in with?
The username and password you chose. The email is for the six digit code when the account is created; the app does not ask for it again.
Do you need my phone number?
No. Nothing in the app asks for one.
Can other people see my email?
No. Your profile shows the name and username you chose, and the marks a person at Ya Habibi has verified. The email is not shown anywhere in the app.
Verification
Is this the same as a blue tick?
No. It is a statement about somebody's role in Islam, checked with the institution that granted it. The staff mark, which says an account speaks for Ya Habibi, is a different mark and cannot be applied for.
What does it cost?
Nothing. It is not a subscription and it cannot be purchased.
